Fluxite is the rare purple resource in Sandustry. It is not used in recipes like sand or water — instead, it is spent on upgrades for your mining tools, weapons, and drones. That makes it one of the most valuable resources in the game, and the one that separates a basic factory from an advanced one.

Where fluxite comes from

Fluxite has two sources:

  1. Natural generation — small amounts of fluxite generate in the world on their own. It is a useful early find, but too slow to build a factory on.
  2. The Flux Emanator — a late-game machine that produces fluxite reliably. It consumes Voidbloom and converts it into fluxite at a 1:1 ratio.

The Flux Emanator grows fluxite in a circular pattern around its base, which you then harvest.

What fluxite upgrades

  • Mining tools — faster, stronger digging.
  • Weapons — better combat against the creatures you encounter.
  • Drones — Sweeper, Digger, Recon and Hauler drones all improve.

Fluxite in the big picture

Fluxite sits at the end of the production chain that starts with sand:

Sand + water → gold → (via Voidbloom) → fluxite

The core ratio the community uses to describe this flow is 2 sand : 3 water : 4 red sand = 3 gold : 8 fluxite.
