Fluxite is the rare purple resource that upgrades your mining tools, weapons and drones in Sandustry. It is the single most important late-game resource, so getting a steady supply is the difference between a factory that struggles and one that runs itself.
There are two ways to get fluxite:
- Mine it — fluxite generates naturally in the world, but only in small amounts. It is not a reliable long-term source.
- Produce it — build a Flux Emanator, which converts Voidbloom into fluxite at a ratio of 1 Voidbloom → 1 Fluxite. This is the real answer.
The fluxite production line
Here is the full chain, step by step:
1. Grow Voidbloom
Voidbloom is the fuel that feeds the Flux Emanator. You create Voidbloom by combining red sand and Amethelis.
2. Feed the Flux Emanator
Pipe or belt Voidbloom into a Flux Emanator. The machine consumes Voidbloom and emits fluxite.
3. Collect the fluxite
The Flux Emanator grows fluxite in a circular pattern at its base. Harvest it and route it into storage or directly into your upgrade chain.
What fluxite upgrades
Fluxite is spent on upgrades rather than consumed by recipes:
- Mining tools — faster and stronger digging.
- Weapons — better combat against the creatures you encounter.
- Drones — more capable Sweeper, Digger, Recon and Hauler drones.
